Business Development and Management Associate

Kelly, Anderson is seeking a qualified candidate for the following Business Development and Management Associate position.

Position responsibilities include

  • Conducting market research on emerging government opportunities, identifying interested industry parties, implementing outreach strategies, and developing/delivering marketing presentations to prospective clients
  • Preparation of marketing proposals to support prospective clients
  • Managing, and supporting the management of, client projects and relationships
  • Assembling and managing teams of consultants to support client initiatives
  • Providing (i) an understanding of the overall federal market to clients, (ii) guidance regarding Federal contracting regulations, (iii) an understanding of client federal market segment and (iv) business development support for client initiatives
  • Conducting comparative and analytical studies including competition research, requirements analysis, procurement forecasting, general information gathering, and special projects as called upon.  In addition, monitoring government procurement websites and procurement forecast subscriptions for upcoming opportunities valuable to specific clients
  • Providing proposal support to clients including, but not limited to: proposal coordination, proposal outline development, technical write-ups, past performance descriptions, compliance review, and final editing and production
  • Leading/contributing to special research projects in support of a client initiative
  • Preparing and maintaining task logs to keep clients informed on progress and budget status
  • Supporting monthly invoicing process

Candidates must possess a strong working understanding of U.S. Federal government business development, and have proven experience (5+ years) working in the government environment (either for a private sector company and/or for a Federal government agency).  Experience with complex client management a plus.  Bachelors degree required, graduate degree a plus.  Competitive salary and benefits.
